First of all thanks for checking out my site. In the links above and to the right you’ll find a bunch of comics I’ve been lucky enough to work on with some very talented people, who knows you may like what you see. Every so often I’ll post some prose here too, but don’t worry I’ll make sure it comes illustrated. The idea behind the site is to showcase what myself and my artist colleagues can do. I’ll continue to post updates. If you’re an artist interested in working with me please feel free to mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org you can find me on Twitter at www.twitter.com/DaveHendrick.

Check back for more soon.
It’s been ages, I know, but I’m back – in fairness I was pretty busy, helping out my bro with his award winning store The Big Bang which if you’re ever out our way you should totally check in on, organising DICE (Dublin International Comics Expo) which you can read up on here , moving house, changing job and yeah, there’s even been some writing going on too. First up I’m incredibly pleased and lucky to be working with Declan Shalvey and the dashing Stephen Mooney on a back up strip for Stephen’s forthcoming epic Half Past Danger from IDW and really I couldn’t be happier.
The entire Short, Sharp, Schlock comic is now available for download as a pdf via the above link, go on you know you want to.
The affable, sweet scented and manly entity that is Zak Kinsella was kind enough to work on a story for my Short, Sharp, Schlock book – which will be available for free from me at Heroes Con this weekend. If you’re not there, don’t worry, here’s Zak’s 4 brilliant pages, just for you. Enjoy.
Zak’s other work can be found at www.zakkinsella.com
The super talented eclectic micks have finished the cover to Short Sharp Shlock, not only that but soon-to-be mega star Jordie Belaire coloured it. Check it.
The brilliant Will Sliney (currently working on Dark Horse’s Star Wars books) has contributed to the Short Sharp Shlock cover with this guy;
Scary, isn’t he?
More to come!
So I’ve found myself in the fortuitous position of having super-talented friends. The kind of guys who go out of their way to make their buddies look good. And that’s exactly what they’re up to at the moment!
Stephen Mooney artist extraordinaire on IDW’s Angel and Spike books has drawn the cover of my Short Sharp Shlock! Mini.
…that’s not all though, Marvel Comics Dec Shalvey is contributing too! Here’s his piece;
Can’t really say anything about it yet as it would spoil the story but isn’t it great?!
I have to say it’s both humbling and encouraging to have such great mates.
Even better than that – there’s still more to come!
Just a quick update to let you know that I’m working on a mini-comic for distribution at Heroes Con in Charlotte in June. It’s called Short Sharp Shlock and collects together a few short stories I’ve been working on recently. The Eclectic Micks have been kind enough to contribute to the cover and will be updating their blog with their progress all this week. You can check it out at www.eclecticmicks.blogspot.com tell ‘em I sent ya.
Tomorrow I’ll post some artwork from some very talented and exceptionally generous folks.
Brilliant Irish portrait artist David O’Sullivan kindly drew the four page story that is The Devil’s In The Detail, we’ve pitched it around the place, you can see it here http://www.davehendrick.com/?page_id=177. Hope you like it.
I’ve posted the first prose short entitled The Marsh Interviews in the Short Stories section . If you’ve ten minutes free please check it out.
